At Vernick & Associates, we strongly believe that the design-build approach to cleanroom project delivery is the best process for our clients.
What Is Design-Build?
In the traditional construction model, an owner hires both a designer and a construction contractor, there are two separate businesses involved, two different contracts, and often, two different sets of priorities and timelines. Whereas, the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) explains that: “Design-build is a method of project delivery in which one entity – the design-build team – works under a single contract with the project owner to provide design and construction services. One entity, one contract, one unified flow of work from initial concept through completion – thereby re-integrating the roles of designer and constructor.”
What Are the Benefits of Design-Build in Cleanroom Construction?
Streamlining cleanroom design and construction projects through the design-build process offers many benefits to our clients:
- We foster a close relationship with our customers. From beginning to end, we listen to what you have to say, learn more about your industry, and strive to meet exacting standards. Since we are on the same team, the designers and builders share the ultimate goal of meeting or exceeding your expectations. An added bonus for you is that there is only one company to deal with, not a pile of sub-contractors who don’t understand your needs.
- Design-build approach saves you money. By removing the need for subcontractors and external suppliers, cost-projections and budgets can be more closely respected.
- Our collaborative approach saves time. Working as a team, we never have to wait on outside contractors, last minute redesigns or misunderstandings. Since our whole team is involved from the start, everyone’s input is included from the beginning, with no delays or additional costs.
