Smart Fan Filter Control System
Fan powered filter modules are equipped with their own individual speed control mounted on the unit. Installations with multiple units requires speed adjustment of each unit separately and usually requires access to the speed control above the cleanroom ceiling. This has the following shortcomings:

• Balancing airflow so that each unit is operating at the same airflow is time consuming and challenging
• Once airflow and balancing has been performed, the filter modules operate at the same speed whether the room is in use or not—unnecessary energy consumption.
• Adjusting airflow requires a breach of he cleanroom envelope.

A cost effective and energy conserving system is now available.

A single wall mounted console with LED readout and user friendly control features that can be located outside the cleanroom, provides single point control to an infinite number of filter modules. At the console, filters can be controlled individually, in groups as well as globally for the entire system. In addition, the system has a set back feature that automatically can reduce fan speeds when the room is not in use which reduces energy consumption. The benefits of the control system are significant:

• Dramatically reduced time for start-up, balancing and testing.
• Fan speed adjustment is made without entering or breaching the cleanroom
• Energy savings and rapid payback
